  Analysis of installation skills of vortex flowmeter:

  1. The vortex flowmeter can only measure in one direction. When installing, take care to ensure that the medium flows in the same direction as the arrow on the flowmeter.

  2. The vortex flowmeter is installed vertically, and the medium passes through the flowmeter from bottom to top. That is, the flowmeter is installed on a vertical pipe, and the flow direction is from bottom to top.

  3. When installed horizontally, the flowmeter must be installed in the high-pressure area of the entire system, and the corresponding outlet pressure must be guaranteed; do not install it at a high place in the pipeline, because gas often accumulates in the high place, the pipeline is not full, and the outlet Direct exhaust is not possible.

  4. When measuring high temperature fluid, please try to use the vertical installation method; if it must be installed horizontally, please install the transmitter part of the flowmeter vertically downward or horizontally to avoid excessive temperature; pay attention to the air circulation or ventilation of the installation location.

  5. Requirements for straight pipe sections: ensure at least 15 times the pipe diameter before the flowmeter and 5 times the pipe diameter after the flowmeter. If there are interference sources such as elbows, indentations, and expansions in the front of the flowmeter, you must ensure that the pipe diameter is 30-40 times the diameter in the front of the flowmeter and 6 times in the rear of the flowmeter. The flow meter should be installed upstream of the regulating valve, pressure or temperature sensor.

  6. Please note that the diameter of the pipe should be slightly larger than or equal to the inner diameter of the instrument during installation.

  7. When using the sealing ring, please note that the inner diameter of the sealing ring should be slightly larger than or equal to the inner diameter of the instrument, and the center of the sealing ring is located in the center of the pipe.

  When the cable entry seal is electrically connected to the instrument, attention must be paid to the tightness of the cable entry hole. The appropriate sealing interface (M20×1.5; 1/2" NPT; G1/2") must be selected according to the entry type of the meter cable and installed correctly and securely. Lack of sealing joints or sloppy installation that fails to seal is one of the common causes of instrument damage.
